WHAT IS DIFFICULT-ACCESS DRILLING?

Difficult-access drilling refers to any drilling program where site conditions, terrain, or access restrictions prevent the use of standard truck- or track-mounted drilling equipment. This includes soft-ground conditions that will not support heavy equipment, remote sites without road access, agricultural land where surface disturbance must be minimized, and winter or frozen-ground conditions that require specialized mobilization.

MAK Drilling is equipped for difficult-access work and has deployed on challenging sites across the Midwest.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

WHAT WE PROVIDE

• Lightweight and portable rig deployment
• Off-road site access
• Soft-ground and low-bearing-capacity site drilling

• Remote location mobilization
• Frozen-ground and winter drilling
• Agricultural land drilling with minimal disturbance

• Skid, track, and all-terrain equipment configurations

WHO WE WORK WITH

WHO WE WORK WITH

Difficult-access drilling supports geotechnical engineers and environmental consultants with remote or constrained site investigations, wind energy developers requiring tower foundation data in agricultural or undeveloped terrain, pipeline and transmission developers drilling in corridor locations with limited access, and municipalities and utilities investigating sites in environmentally sensitive or restricted areas.

Project owners whose sites present access challenges that standard drilling companies cannot accommodate are also supported.

DIFFICULT-ACCESS DRILLING ACROSS THE MIDWEST

DIFFICULT-ACCESS DRILLING ACROSS THE MIDWEST

The Midwest presents a wide range of difficult-access challenges — from soft spring soils in agricultural areas to remote wind energy sites far from maintained roads to frozen-ground conditions that require winter mobilization.

MAK Drilling’s crews are experienced in Midwest field conditions and are equipped with rig configurations needed to work efficiently in environments where access is the primary challenge.
